hello, all

This is my first and introductory entry for the new website. I wanted to create this website in the hopes to connect with fellow readers, writers, and those who love to discuss books. I currently live in Southern California, and have lived here for most of my life, but I’ve had the chance to travel and see a lot of the United States with my family as a child; mostly from the backseat of our car, and I have traveled to Europe, Scandinavia, and China. All those experiences plus the interesting things I encounter on a daily basis, somehow find a way into my own writing.

To get a little deeper, I have one adult son, who is a very tall person. I am still a bit surprised by how tall he is every time I see him. When he was growing up, and growing much faster than his peers, I was a bit concerned. I had a recurring dream about “Jack and the Beanstalk”, but my son was the beanstalk in my dream,  and he kept growing and growing.

I also have one big dog, Sydney, and my son’s cat, Dorris. Though Dorris is really my son’s cat she has made my place her home, and specifically, my side of the bed and my favorite pillow. Well I guess it is all well if she makes room for me at night.
